Dust Jacket - The Scarlet Letter
The objective of this project was to design a dust jacket for a classic book published before 2003. I selected The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (1850), a novel I first encountered in high school. Revisiting the story through a design lens made the project both nostalgic and creatively challenging.
For the concept, I was inspired by the imagery of the red “A” in the sky, one of the book’s most iconic symbols. I reimagined this moment as a shooting star forming the letter “A”, creating a subtle yet meaningful visual representation that connects to the novel’s central theme of identity and redemption.
