My Portfolio
Owens Community College Coloring Pages
I was honored to be commissioned by Owens Community College to design custom coloring pages featuring two iconic buildings from each campus, aimed at helping families with children stay engaged during meetings with advisors. This project was especially meaningful as an alumni, allowing me to blend my design expertise with a personal connection to the college.

Sourdough Packaging
I was commissioned to create these sourdough packaging designs, thoughtfully balancing creative vision with the practical needs set by the manufacturer. This project highlights my ability to deliver visually appealing and functional design solutions that align with client needs and production requirements.

Bear Paw Wine
This project focused on creating circular packaging for a rebrand or an original product concept. I developed Bear Paw, a contemporary wine brand inspired by Barefoot, with the objective of designing sleek, modern, and visually distinctive packaging that stands out on the shelf.
In the second phase, I expanded the brand by designing a foldable carrying package to complement the wine bottle. The goal was to create a cohesive, functional design solution that enhanced both the usability and visual identity of the Bear Paw brand.

Dead Man's Cell Phone Poster
This project involved designing a theatre poster for one of the plays hosted by Owens Community College, with the creative constraint of using only three colors in addition to black and white. The play directors provided insight into the desired look and feel for their respective productions before final selections were made.
My design for Dead Man’s Cell Phone was chosen by the director to represent the play, leading to the opportunity to further expand the campaign through a series of coordinated social media advertisements.

Abstract Video
The goal of the project was to convey emotions and concepts through non-traditional visual elements. This means we aimed to push boundaries and offer a unique visual experience for our audience, reflecting our commitment to innovative design solutions. My first thought was to do this for a traumatic event that happened to me in 2021, which was the South Haven Pier shooting. Fully filmed and edited by me.

Logo Animation - Trail Boss
This logo animation was created for the fictional shoe company we had to create, which I called mine Trail Boss for hiking boots. The condition was it had to be only five seconds long.

Magazine Cover - Adventure Awaits
The goal of this project was to make an illustrated magazine cover for anything of our choice. I enjoy hiking very much, so I decided to go with a magazine cover called Adventure Awaits for the best places to hike in Michigan.

Dust Jacket - The Scarlet Letter
The objective of this project was to design a dust jacket for a classic book published before 2003. I selected The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (1850), a novel I first encountered in high school. Revisiting the story through a design lens made the project both nostalgic and creatively challenging.
For the concept, I was inspired by the imagery of the red “A” in the sky, one of the book’s most iconic symbols. I reimagined this moment as a shooting star forming the letter “A”, creating a subtle yet meaningful visual representation that connects to the novel’s central theme of identity and redemption.

Interactive Proposal
This project goal was to create an Interactive Proposal for a company that was looking for a corporate identity package. We gave estimates on costs on how much the identity package would be and how much it would cost at three different printers.

Socials
The goal of this project was to create an E-Blast, Instagram post, and an Event Banner for the shoe brand we created which mine was Trail Boss. I included a picture of me even wearing the hiking boots to emphasize them.

Promotional Video
This project centered on producing a 30-second promotional video for a product of our choice. I developed a concept for Carhartt, focusing on a more relatable and authentic approach rather than a traditional advertisement.
Inspired by my husband and our dog, both proud owners of Carhartt coats, I created the tagline “A brand for a man and his best friend.” The video highlights everyday moments of working around the house and outdoors, capturing the brand’s durability, warmth, and connection to real life.

Magazine Spread - Milton Glaser
The objective of this project was to design a magazine spread featuring an article about an assigned graphic designer. My article focused on Milton Glaser, and the challenge was to create the layout in a style that reflected his distinctive design approach.
To capture Glaser’s aesthetic, I incorporated bold, pigmented colors contrasted with black and white elements, echoing his signature use of vibrant palettes and strong visual balance.

Font Poster
For this project we had to make a poster completely out of text for a font we were given, which I had the typeface Bauhaus. All of the text is an essay about the font, while the essay is in the font Bauhaus.
I decided to create the iconic Bauhaus School, since this is where the font originated from.

Blush & Bloom Perfume
The goal of this project was to create a folding box of anything that wasn't food or drink related, that was also a made up company that we thought of. I chose to come up with a perfume brand called Blush & Bloom that is a very colorful, bold, and unique compared to normal perfume box design you typically see.
Beginning with a mood board and a design brief, my process takes you through sketches and rough stages to bring the vision to life.
The pictures were taken by another student at Owens Community College in our photography studio.

Corporate Identity Package
The objective of this project was to develop a comprehensive brand identity package for a self-created shoe company, including logo design and supporting social media content. I designed Trail Boss, a hiking boot brand built for people who love the outdoors and value quality, durability, and adventure.
The visual identity features a bold, nature-inspired color palette carried consistently across the logo, business card, letterhead, and envelope. This cohesive design system reinforces the brand’s rugged yet approachable personality.

Joyfully Risen Co.
I was commissioned twice by the owner of Joyfully Risen, a small sourdough bakery, to design and develop a custom logo that reflected her brand’s warmth and personality. Through our design consultation, we discussed her vision, preferred style, and color palette.
The final logo features soft variations of pink and blue, inspired by the outfit she often wears while baking.
